Pastors

Pastor Stephen Nordbye came to Charlton in 1987 to serve this growing congregation as its first associate pastor. He and his wife Valorie both arrived with broad experience in college ministry, which Val (MA Denver Seminary) continues to pursue in the Worcester area and elsewhere as National Director for Campus Ministries with Mission to the Americas.  In 2005 Steve was called by the church to serve as Senior Pastor. He holds degrees from Colorado College, Denver Seminary, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. When not at the church, Steve may be found at the YMCA trying to slow down the aging process, or on the local Frisbee disc golf course.

The Nordbyes are the parents of Erik (currently pursuing undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago) and Kari (now attending the Charlton Middle School)

Pastor Stephan Coddington (A.K.A. “Pastor Coddman”) came to Charlton in 2006 to serve this growing congregation as its’ first youth and family pastor.  He and his wife have been working together in youth ministry in various capacities for over 10 years.  He holds a B.S. in Bible with an emphasis in Youth Ministry from Philadelphia Biblical University.  His wife is a licensed clinical social worker in the Worcester area with degrees from PBU and SUNY Stoneybrook.

Steve loves music, sports, and paintball.  He and Sarah like play board games, card games, and walk their dog.
