Freedom and Recovery from

Hurts, Habits, and Hang- ups!

Purpose Statement

The purpose of Charlton Baptist Church's Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through eight recovery principles and the Christ-centered 12 Steps.  This experience allows us to be changed.  We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another.  In addition, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our life problems.  By working the steps and applying their Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually.  We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors.  This freedom creates a stronger personal relationship with God and others.  As we progress through the principles we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power - Jesus Christ.

"Wiping the Tears:

Healing From Sexual Abuse"

Friday, April 11, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.
Charlton Baptist Church
50 Hammond Road
Charlton, MA

Christine will be ministering on the topic of healing from the effects of sexual abuse. Please pray that the Lord uses this evening to heal and set free many who are wounded and bound by the effects of past abuse.

All are welcome.

Childcare will be provided.

Christine Raymond is an ordained minister and licensed Christian counselor with Charis Counseling Center in Auburn, MA. Christine and her husband, JeanPaul, have two adult children, Matthew and Anna. JeanPaul and Christine were senior pastors in Boston, MA for 22 years and have recently returned to Central Massachusetts.

Christine's ministry focuses on her calling as stated in Isaiah 61:1, “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.” She ministers on such topics as knowing and experiencing the love and presence of God, and basing our self-worth on the sure foundation of who God says we are in Christ. As a survivor of years of child sexual abuse and a sexual assault that almost took her life and the life of the unborn child she was carrying as a young adult, she has a particular desire and concern to minister to victims and survivors of sexual abuse, physical abuse and domestic violence, and to assist churches and spiritual leaders to minister to the needs of these survivors
